Changelog
What's new on Warlord Market. Older entries at the bottom.
Strict-grader inventory + per-grade tags
- Storefronts now walk a condition ladder when picking prices: Near Mint → Lightly Played → Moderately Played → Heavily Played → Damaged. We pick the cheapest variant in the highest non-empty grade for each card, instead of dropping anything that isn't NM. Strict graders had most of their inventory disappear on cards where they only had played-condition stock; this brings them back, properly labeled.
- When the cheapest available isn't NM, a small chip — LP, MP, HP, DMG — sits next to the storefront name, tinted to that storefront's link color. Hover for the full grade name ("Lightly Played", etc).
- Thanks to David at Upper 90 for the flag — first run after the change took Upper 90 from 21 written prices to 410.
eBay buy links land on the actual listing now
- The legacy rover redirect URL we'd been using for affiliate tracking turned out to serve a 1×1 tracking-pixel GIF rather than redirecting clicks — anyone clicking an eBay link landed on a blank page. Switched to appending eBay's affiliate campaign params directly to the destination URL, which is the current EPN deep-link format. Clicks now resolve to the actual item or search page, and affiliate attribution is preserved.
Per-listing eBay buy links + EPN tracking
- The eBay row on each printing now points to the cheapest active listing specifically, not just the search results. One click takes you to the exact SKU.
- When more than one active listing exists, a "View all N listings on eBay" link appears under the floor row, going to eBay's live search — fresher than our hourly snapshot, so it's the right place to browse the full set.
- Affiliate tracking via the eBay Partner Network is wired through both the per-listing link and the search link.
Gamers Getaway KC + per-store buy links inline
New source
- Gamers Getaway KC (gamersgetawaykc.com) is now a third Shopify storefront alongside Gamers Guild AZ and Upper 90. ~340 products, ~95% match against ITA. EA and Foil treatments handled via the existing matcher; foil variants auto-create on first encounter as before.
Inline buy links
- Each per-source price row in the Printings table now links directly to that store's listing — sky for Gamers Guild AZ, teal for Upper 90, emerald for Gamers Getaway KC. The bottom row collapses to "Also on" with eBay (TCGplayer joins once Kingswood lists Warlord cards there).
- Storefronts always render — even when they have no current price for the variant. The price slot shows "—" with a faint "no listing" note, so the buy-at link stays reachable for sold-out variants.
- Clicking anywhere within a printing block — including the per-source-rows area — now selects that printing. Previously only the top row of the block was click-aware.
Cold-foil shimmer on foil printings
- Selecting a Foil printing on a card detail page now plays a subtle cold-foil shimmer over the card art — two crossing diagonal bands (silver + cool pearl) panning in opposite directions. Tuned to the card's printed cold-foil look rather than a holographic / rainbow treatment.
- Animation halts under prefers-reduced-motion. Regular printings render unchanged.
Surface every printing — including sold-out foils
- EA Foil rows now appear correctly. Cards with separate base + Extended Art listings (e.g. Kingslayer) had EA Foil prices mis-attributed to the base Foil row because the variant lookup fell back across kinds; the EA Foil row never got created. Fixed by tightening the matcher so EA/Promo products only match an exact (kind, treatment) variant, falling back to auto-create when none exists.
- When a foil SKU is listed at a retailer but currently sold out, the printing now appears with a small "No current listings" placeholder rather than disappearing. The variant gets created on first encounter regardless of availability, so the row stays even when prices come and go.
Per-printing source prices, foils, and a freshness signal
Prices
- Every printing now lists each source's price on its own row — Gamers Guild AZ, Upper 90, eBay (low) — with how long ago that price was checked. The standalone breakdown block under the printings table is gone.
- Foil printings get prices now. Foil retailer SKUs were previously dropped silently because the seed only created regular variants; the cron now auto-creates a foil variant on first encounter and writes the price.
- Outlier eBay listings are flagged inline next to their source row instead of as a separate footnote.
Freshness
- Shopify scrape (Gamers Guild AZ + Upper 90) now runs hourly. eBay refreshes every six hours.
Fixes
- Card detail page no longer overflows horizontally on mobile when the community-decks dropdown is open.
- Seven cards with dash-style EA filenames (Adathan, Alrayn Gaunt, Blade of Antiquity, Church Enforcer Tancred, Memoriam, Tazian Dythanus, Vactus) now show their EA tag on every printing. Their EA Foil row sorts last, where the priciest variant belongs.
Community deck listings on every card
- Card detail pages now show a "Featured in N community decks" section listing every public deck on warlordccgdb and warlorddb that contains the card.
- 253 decks indexed across both sources (~5,300 card-deck mappings), refreshed nightly.
- Click any deck to open it on its source site in a new tab. Section is collapsible and previews the 10 most-recent decks before "View all".
- Replaced the static "Decks: WarlordCCGDB / warlorddb" search row with this live data.
Live eBay prices + flat editorial detail page
Live prices
- eBay Browse API is now wired up. Cards with active listings show a "from $X.XX" floor on each printing row. Refreshed daily.
- TCGplayer market prices are stubbed until the product-ID backfill runs; the plumbing is in place and shows "—" until data arrives.
- Every printing row now has its own pair of TCG / eBay buy buttons so you're one click from the exact SKU you're looking at.
Editorial redesign
- Card detail pages now read as a single continuous column instead of a stack of bordered cards. Stats, rules text, and the printings table are flat, separated by hairline rules.
- Traits, keywords, and feats render as inline text ("Traits · Giant · Monster · Orc · Ranger") rather than pill badges. They'll become clickable filters in a future update.
- Rarity shows as coloured text instead of a pill chip. Extended Art / Promo / Token tags read as small tinted labels next to the treatment word.
- Previous / next card navigation moved into the right column so the whole page reads as one editorial flow.
